Hey guys! I'm having kind of an issue with an idea I've been wanting to try out recently: Adoptables!
The idea of adoptables has been sitting in my head for some time now and only recently became a very real thing I would like to try. That I might possibly be able to sell designs is mind boggling, it's doing what I feel like I'm good at for profit.
I'm sure everyone is familiar with adoptables, if you don't know what an adoptable is: they are basically character designs (of any sort) one can sell for profit. For instance, G Demon
is an adoptable I bought a year or so ago and I've been using him as an RP character recently. It seems like a pretty decent way to earn money since I have such a problem with setting up commissions for a decent and stable amount of time.
Here is where my dilemma comes into play; just glancing at my gallery one can see that I like Pokemon. The Pokemon franchise makes up a large portion of my heart and will always be near and dear to me. And I love making Pokemon Gijinka, or humans with Pokemon characteristics or features. So it should seem like a no brainer that I could sell Pokemon Gijinka adoptables! Right?
Well, I'm not so sure. You see, Pokemon is owned by Nintendo as are the designs of each and every single Pokemon created. Making a Gijinka based off of that to sell
, well that could be an issue. Possibly infringing on Copyright or Trade Mark or what the heck ever else makes makes me incredibly uneasy and worried about making Pokemon Gijinka adoptables.
So I guess what I'm trying to get at is: What are your thoughts on using Gijinka as adopts? And what do you think about adopts in general?
I'm still going to try them regardless, but I would really like some feedback.
Thanks for reading and have a good day!
